The annual Dwell Community festival took place this past Saturday and saw about 2800 attendees! Praise God for bringing great weather even with the threat of storms. Many of those who attended were guests and some kids had such a great time that they want to return to check out a meeting. A big thank you to the over 200 volunteers who made this event possible. We look forward to seeing you all next year!

Last Tuesday, the high school ministry hosted a special Dime-a-Dog night event! Over 300 students heard a teaching from Doug O'Malley on The Good Samaritan. After the teaching, they drove to the Clippers Stadium and enjoyed the baseball game and 10-cent hot dogs. Praise God that he provided great weather for this event. Join us in praying that the 30+ first-time guests would come back to learn more about God.

Being a new mom is often overwhelming - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Get some practical help and encouragement at this morning workshop on Saturday, September 19th at the Dwell Office Auditorium (1340 Community Park Dr., 43229) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
This is open to new moms and moms-to-be and will cover common concerns of new moms and the needs of their babies in the first year. Amber Liston is leading it and says it's designed to build your confidence as a new mom, while you learn practical tips for this major life transition. She'll also discuss changes you can anticipate in your relationships beyond that with your baby.
There will be no childcare, but nursing babies are welcome. Light breakfast will be provided. Please register by emailing Sherri at fojasS@dwellcc.org.

Two Ways God Transforms Us
|
A devotional from Brad DuFault
|
Brad Dufault examines Philippians 2:13, unpacking two distinct ways God works in believers: giving power to act on good desires, and actually changing what we want in the first place. He addresses a common misunderstanding—that we can wait to feel like obeying before we act—arguing instead that trust is proven through action, even when our desires haven't caught up yet.
