Equipping director Pat Reeder, has released a review of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. This review provides an overview of Haidt's arguments, an evaluation of the text, and a description of how it connects to the Christian believer. Reeder notes in his review that there is little commentary on the rise of AI and so he has expanded his discussion on this topic in the most recent episode of the Dwell on These Things podcast, Shepherding the Flock in the Age of AI. College Group Serves the Community
|
Dwell's College Ministry teamed up with Community Clothing Outreach for a fall service project. From September to November, volunteers helped greet shoppers, fold and restock clothing, and pray with anyone interested. Across four Saturdays, 42 people volunteered their time on Saturday morning during shop hours. A hygiene drive, also run by the college ministry, brought in many needed products to the store.
Community Clothing Outreach started in 2020 and provides free clothing to those in need. CCO welcomes donations and is always happy to have more volunteers. Click below to learn more about their mission, how to volunteer, and donation needs.

The Dwell Grief ministry will host a workshop, Navigating Holiday Grief, on November 16th, from 1:30 - 3:00 pm at the office auditorium (address). The workshop offers practical tips for those who have lost a loved one on dealing with holiday stress, redefining old traditions, and navigating awkward social situations. It will also present God's offer of hope in the midst of sorrow and for the future.
This workshop is seeker sensitive, and a clear gospel message is given. Consider using the Navigating Holiday Grief workshop as a way to reach out to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
There is no cost or commitment to attend. To ask any questions, please email grief@dwellcc.org.
