NT 8000: Emotions and Moral Formation

Description: An interdisciplinary approach to the study of the relationship between emotions and moral formation in the New Testament. Drawing on the contributions of cultural anthropology, sociology, psychology, and ancient Jewish and Greco-Roman views of moral psychology, this course analyses various New Testament texts to examine how our emotions should be transformed in light of the gospel. Emotions that will be considered include love, grief, shame, joy, fear, anger, hope, envy, and gratitude.

ME 8500: Missional Disciple-Making

Description: This course examines the way Christian disciples are formed, with particular attention to biblical and practical foundations for making disciples that include contextual, missional engagement with the goal of mission in the world. Students examine various models of disciple-making, especially those practiced within the missional church movement.
