There are many ways you can serve Renegade students. Consider getting involved with another friend. Or, work with your home church leader on whether your group can help. Renegade has three main areas of need.
- Providing meals
- Becoming a weekly Renegade leader
- Volunteering at our annual day camp
Renegade provides a nutritious meal for students who attend our Bible studies. You and your home church can team up to provide a meal, perhaps even get on the schedule to supply lunch once a quarter.
Contact Mary Beth Baird (email@example.com) for information on providing meals.
WEEKLY RENEGADE LEADER
Almost all of the Renegade volunteer leaders drive students to and from meetings. Although it may not seem like much, it is! Transportation is probably one of the biggest barriers to having kids attend.
We also want our leaders to be fully engaged with kids during all aspects of the Renegade experience. Overall, we want our leaders to be fully engaged in helping kids have fun, build relationships and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. We will ask many of our Renegade leaders to mentor 5th grade students in hopes of preparing them for middle school and transitioning them into one of Dwell's middle school bible studies.
ANNUAL DAY CAMP
Each summer Renegade offers a one week-long day camp for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. So many fun activities are provided, like sports, music, and art programs. Students have a blast. Our hope is that many first time guests at camp will become regular attenders at the Renegade weekly Sunday meeting.
Volunteers can hep by providing transportations for kids to and from camp, providing breakfast or lunch for the campers, helping run the various programs, and investing into kids as they engage in the daily camp activities.
